ApoMotion is the leading provider for individual e-prescription apps and digital solutions for local pharmacies. Our products connect thousands of pharmacies with their customers – secure, simple and scalable.

We are a small, focused team based in Dessau-Roßlau – right next to the Bauhaus – and we build our platform independently, pragmatically and with a strong focus on real-world impact.

Your mission

You drive the technical evolution of our multi-tenant SaaS platform – from architecture and API design to new services that help pharmacies succeed.

You work closely with product, frontend and support teams. Using AI agents and coding assistants is a natural part of your workflow.

In detail, this means:

• Design and implement scalable backend services (PHP / MySQL / APIs)
• Extend and improve existing modules (shop, frontend, app pipeline, integrations, app backends)
• Design database schemas and optimize performance for high traffic environments
• Take technical ownership for new features and stable deployments
• Participate in 3rd-level support to learn from real-world feedback
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers and product management

What you bring

Several years of backend development experience (PHP 7.4–8.x, MySQL / MariaDB / Galera cluster)

Experience with APIs, security, data modeling and monitoring

Ability to work with and improve existing systems instead of rewriting everything

You use AI tools to work smarter and more efficiently

You think in impact and value, not just in technology

German or English – as long as you communicate clearly.
