Business Analyst SAP Banking

For an upcoming project at a Tier 1 bank in the German-speaking market, we are looking for Business Analysts with solid SAP Banking experience, ideally in Transactional Banking and Deposits Management, who can start at short notice. You will join our project team as the link between business and IT, analysing banking products and processes, shaping requirements and preparing migration and testing. Beyond this project, you will grow in an international team that is extending its core banking expertise to next-generation platforms such as Thought Machine, in a company where every voice matters and your contribution is truly visible. YOUR DAILY WORK

Analyse banking products such as savings, deposit and current accounts in SAP Banking, in particular Transactional Banking and Deposits Management, including interest and fee conditions, product configuration and withdrawal rules

Assess and document end-to-end banking processes, from account opening to closure, and define target processes

Prepare and co-facilitate business interviews and workshops to capture requirements

Perform fit-to-standard and gap analyses against SAP standard and derive requirements, business rules, user stories and acceptance criteria

Define data mappings, validation and reconciliation rules for migrations from legacy systems to SAP Banking and modern core banking platforms

Prepare test scenarios and support functional, integration, migration and user acceptance testing

• Work in agile project teams, collaborating closely with business, IT and your fellow consultants

PERFECT MATCH

3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in SAP Banking projects

Hands-on knowledge of SAP Banking, ideally including Transactional Banking, Deposits Management, SAP Business Partner, and Master Contract Management (MCM)

Good knowledge of product, pricing, and condition configuration, as well as savings, deposit, and current account processes

Solid understanding of banking products and their end-to-end processes, particularly savings, deposits, and current accounts

Experience in requirements engineering and fit/gap analysis, from process analysis and workshops through to user stories and acceptance criteria

Experience in business process modelling , preferably using BPMN

Experience in data mapping, reconciliation, and data migration, ideally within a core banking environment

Experience in functional, migration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

Fluent English; German would be an advantage

• Degree in Business Administration, Banking, Business Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

EXTRA POINTS

• Experience with Thought Machine Vault Core, or a certification in progress
• Knowledge of further SAP Banking components such as Bank Current Accounts (BCA), Payment Engine, Loans Management or GL Transfer
• Hands-on functional configuration in SAP Banking
• Experience in applying AI tools and methods in daily work, e.g. for analysis, documentation or testing
• Experience in test management or test automation
