Data engineer in fintech

Описание: Our client is an established Berlin IT consultancy and software studio with a successful track record spanning more than 20 years. As a specialist partner for digital transformation, the company serves renowned clients in the high-security sector (banking) and the media industry. With a team of around 50 experts, it combines the stability of established structures with the agility of modern tech stacks. Development here is hands-on, with a clear focus on quality, long-term thinking, and technological excellence.

Задачи:

You will gradually take on the technical leadership of our 6-person data team, be introduced to project management, and develop specifically toward your first (disciplinary) leadership role. You will design and build secure, scalable cloud and on-premise data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will actively drive forward topics such as data warehousing, lakehouse architectures, and data governance. You will work hand in hand with Sales (technical feasibility, pre-sales support) and act as a competent sparring partner for our clients. You will support data projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from the initial consulting meeting and requirements engineering through to final implementation. You will be responsible for infrastructure automation (IaC via Terraform) and for building stable CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

Требования:

You have around 4 years of solid professional experience in data engineering and are ready for the next step in your career. You preferably come from IT consulting, value direct customer contact, and can explain complex technical concepts clearly. We expect you to be proficient in cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Terraform, and CI/CD automation. You are empathetic, solution-oriented, and communicate as an equal. You are a great personal fit for our team and effortlessly bridge the gap between business and IT. Very good German language skills (at least C1 level) for providing demanding consulting services to our clients. Будет плюсом: Initial experience in (sub-)project management or mentoring is a plus

Starting salary of up to €80,000 (including bonus system), depending on previous experience.
