About The Role WILO SE is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join its dynamic team. You will work in a collaborative environment, engaging closely with cross-functional teams such as development, quality assurance, production, IT, and digital business units.

Responsibilities • Design and implement data-driven AI solutions for products, systems, digital services, business processes, and internal applications, from initial concept to scalable deployment. • Analyze technical, operational, and enterprise data to develop models and applications that enhance automation, decision-making, and operational efficiency. • Leverage advanced AI technologies such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Computer Vision, Time Series Analysis, Explainable AI, and Agent Technologies for various industrial and business applications. • Develop and maintain data and model pipelines, supporting MLOps processes, while considering cloud and edge architectures, model monitoring, data privacy, security, and operational reliability. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into impactful AI use cases, fostering innovation and ensuring effective implementation across the organization.

In this role, you will be instrumental in developing AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable value across products, services, business models, and internal processes. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between data, technology, and industrial applications, contributing significantly to the realization of our WATER AI Strategy.

Qualifications • A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a comparable field. • Several years of professional experience developing impactful AI or Machine Learning solutions, preferably within industrial environments, digital services, or process optimization. • Proficiency in Python and common frameworks; experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and Databricks, containerization tools like Docker, version control systems like Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with MLflow, coding assistants, and agent frameworks is advantageous. • Ability to translate data models into robust applications, services, and process improvements, with a solid understanding of data quality, model validation, explainable AI, and cloud/edge architectures. • Strong analytical, goal-oriented, and independent working style, with excellent communication skills in both German and English.
