DevOps Engineer

pFor a bank in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced bSenior DevOps Engineer /b to build and further develop a new virtualization platform. /p pIn this role, you will work in the Linux and platform environment on a modern, highly automated infrastructure.

The focus is on Linux-based servers and platform services, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Infrastructure as Code, automation, CI/CD, as well as developing internal APIs and self-service functions for other teams. /p h3Responsibilities: /h3 ul liResponsibility for the lifecycle of Linux-based server and platform infrastructure /li liSupport the design and development of a new virtualization platform /li liOperation, optimization, and continuous development of the platform environment /li liAutomation of the server lifecycle, including provisioning, patching, and decommissioning /li liDevelopment of reusable automation services, internal APIs, CLI tools, and service components /li liOperation and further development of automation and orchestration tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, or OpenShift /li liImplementation of technical and organizational measures to reduce cyber risks /li liDesign

and implementation of APIs for secure self-service access to infrastructure services /li liAnalysis and resolution of incidents, including systematic root cause analysis /li liSustainable improvement of automation, hardening, interfaces, and operational processes /li /ul h3Experience: /h3 ul li5 to 8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Linux Engineer, or in a comparable role /li liStrong hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes /li liExperience with Git, container technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code /li liSolid knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python or Go /li liAbility to develop maintainable code for tools, interfaces, and automation /li liExperience designing and implementing APIs, e.g. REST or OpenAPI /li liKnowledge of authentication, authorization, logging, and monitoring is an advantage /li liExperience
