DevOps Engineer

Project description:

• A member of the DevOps team responsible for the operation and ongoing development of an open-source cloud platform.
• The role serves as a point of contact for product managers, product owners, the operations team, and customers; handles platform configuration; and supports application development and maintenance.
• Additionally, the role optimizes development, release, and deployment cycles (automation, scaling, CI/CD) and assists with end-to-end performance testing, resource planning, and security enhancements.

Required Skills:

• Kubernetes or comparable container technologies
• Scripting with Go, Python, or Bash
• Automation and automated deployments (Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, Helm)
• CI/CD in Kubernetes environments and repository management
• Git automation (GitHub, GitLab) with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD, Linux
• Monitoring and visualization (Grafana, Prometheus, Instana)
• Platform configuration in the areas of network, application, and security
• Agile methodologies and Scrum events
• Databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, HANA (desirable)
• Streaming and indexing with Kafka and Elasticsearch (desirable)
