Embedded Software Engineer | LEO Satellite

A confidential NewSpace venture is building a LEO satellite installation and integration product from scratch; and is now looking for an embedded software engineer to complete a five-person core team.
No legacy codebase, no inherited constraints; built from scratch with you as a key decision maker
• Small, high-trust international team where your technical input carries real weight, with direct access to the technical lead and system architect
• Broad scope across the full project lifecycle, from early architecture decisions through to implementation and testing on cutting-edge NTN and 3GPP satellite technology
• 3 days on-site per week in a well-connected and genuinely beautiful area on the German/Swiss border, giving you and your family a high quality of life
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and test embedded software for SoCs, evaluation boards, and custom platforms
• Develop drivers, middleware, and applications to enable proof of concepts and system prototypes
• Integrate partner SDKs and in-house modules, supporting hardware and software co-design and debugging
• Contribute to rapid prototyping and validation of satellite communication technologies
• Support early-phase work including system architecture, tooling selection, and hardware component decisions
Skills
• 2+ years of embedded software development experience
• Strong networking background - IP, Ethernet, TCP/UDP, routing
• Experience with C programming language, embedded Linux, RTOS
• EU citizenship required for clearance purposes
Strong Differentiators
• C++, Rust, or Python as additional languages
