The Experiment Coordination NUSTAR department is looking to hire a motivated Interface and Integration Engineer for Research Facilities as soon as possible to support the NUSTAR experimental program at GSI/FAIR. The successful applicant will take over a key role in coordinating technical and scheduling matters between scientific departments, construction project participants, and project management.

Main tasks include:

• coordinating the installation planning and actual installation of NUSTAR components at the FAIR facility
• supporting the planning and realisation of experimental infrastructure and technical building infrastructure at the FAIR facility
• undertaking the role of “Installation Representative” for the NUSTAR sub-project
• representation of NUSTAR within the overarching machine installation management via participation in relevant meetings, workshops, etc.
• managing interfaces between NUSTAR equipment and the Super-FRS facility and technical building infrastructure
• supporting the maintenance of the installation time schedule
• working with the NUSTAR team to ensure that the technical, safety and quality requirements are met for all areas of responsibility
