For our partner company in the healthcare sector in Weimar, we are seeking an IT System Administrator (m/f/d) with VMware experience for direct placement (permanent position with our client). The client company is a renowned operator of healthcare facilities and a modern acute care provider. To strengthen their in-house IT team, they are seeking support for the maintenance and further development of their server and virtualization environment. The position is available immediately or at a later date.

• Responsibilities include: Operations & Virtualization: Primarily administering, optimizing, and further developing the VMware-based server and virtualization environment (vSphere/vCenter).
• IT Infrastructure & Security: Managing downstream network, storage, backup, and firewall systems to ensure high availability and performance of clinical IT systems.
• Concepts & Strategies: Contributing to the design and implementation of backup and disaster recovery strategies, as well as the further development of the IT security architecture.
• Projects & Support: Execution of migration projects, troubleshooting in 2nd/3rd level support, and collaboration with external service providers and manufacturers.
• Documentation: Thorough documentation of systems, IT processes, and system configurations.
• Qualification: Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration, a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification with a solid basic education in the field of virtualization.
• Professional experience: At least 3 years of sound experience in the administration of server infrastructures and VMware environments.
• Technical skills: Confident handling of Windows server and/or Linux environments as well as knowledge of network, storage, backup and firewall technologies; experience with IT systems in healthcare (e.g. HIS, PACS) is an advantage.
• Work style & soft skills: Independent, structured and solution-oriented work style, high teamwork skills and willingness to participate in on-call duty.
