Position: Python Developer – Research Data Management (Neuroimaging BIDS)
We are looking for a new team member for the development of a python-based software for research data management with a focus on neuroimaging data, such as MEG and MRI.
Responsibilities
- Develop a tool to convert all data acquired at the main devices (MEG and MRI) into the Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) standard.
- Implement additional features to the tool, including extracting and annotating metadata in a standardized form to accompany the converted datasets.
- Collaborate with the DFG-funded project “Tools and practices for reproducible and open neuroscience”.
Qualifications
- High motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Completion of an apprenticeship as a software technician or a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- Prior experience with programming in Python.
- Experience in software engineering and working with BIDS data is welcome.

Compensation & Working Hours
The salary level is approximately 38,000–40,000 € p.a. with a 40 h/week schedule. The position can be split.

Location
