Lead Software Engineer - Permanent & Full Time

I'm working with an exciting international technology company that is expanding its engineering team in Ticino and looking for a Lead Software Engineer.
What you'll be doing
• Lead the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems
• Drive architecture decisions around scalability, performance and maintainability
• Own cross-team technical initiatives and influence engineering direction
• Mentor engineers and raise standards around design, code quality and operational excellence
• Drive best practices across software design, testing and observability
• Take ownership of critical features and services from concept through production
What you bring
• Extensive experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems
• Strong experience with Golang, C++ or Ruby
• Strong knowledge of system design, algorithms and data structures
• Experience with modern backend architectures, APIs and service-oriented systems
• Strong automated testing experience
• JavaScript/TypeScript and React experience is a plus
• Fluent English; Italian is a plus
