Linux System Administrator

• Administer, maintain, and secure the Linux-based server environment

• Manage the IT infrastructure and provide support for Linux workstations and Windows clients

• Ensure stable server operations and configure and optimize the network infrastructure

• Manage firewalls, routers, the telephone system, and printers

• Support new infrastructure projects and further develop technical services

• Procure, set up, and troubleshoot hardware components and peripheral devices

• Provide user support

Requirements

• Completed IT training or an equivalent qualification

• Experience administering Linux servers, such as Ubuntu, Debian, or Red Hat

• Good knowledge of Windows client support

• Experience with networks, firewalls, VPN, DNS, and DHCP

• Knowledge of managing server and IT infrastructures

• Experience with hardware setup and user support

• Ideally, knowledge of virtualization, IT security, and monitoring

• Structured, independent, and service-oriented approach to work

• Good German and English language skills
