Product Owner (Mission Systems & Sensor Management) · Eurodrone Projects - Germany

Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group) a leading company in safety-critical software for aerospace, defence and transport, is looking for Product Owner with a strong Systems Engineering background to join an international team working on the Eurodrone programme in Germany.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to next-generation airborne and ground mission systems, focusing on sensor management, mission-critical software and systems integration.

Locations include Manching and Ingolstadt.

What You Will Do

• Define and drive the product vision, roadmap and backlog.
• Transform stakeholder needs into clear user stories and technical requirements.
• Work closely with Systems, Software, Architecture and Integration teams.
• Lead Agile/Scrum activities and prioritize deliveries.
• Ensure traceability, integration, verification and validation (V&V).
• Manage technical interfaces, risks and dependencies.
• Monitor progress through KPIs and quality metrics.
• Support the delivery of mission-critical defense and aerospace solutions.

What we’re looking for

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in avionics, sensor systems, autonomous platforms or other mission-critical environments.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner delivering complex products.
• Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering, including requirements, architecture, integration and verification.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, backlog management and stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with RADAR, electro-optical sensors, real-time systems or related technologies.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, DOORS, CAMEO, MATLAB/Simulink and Git.
• Understanding of safety-critical systems, risk management and traceability.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Fluent English.
