SAP FI Lead Consultant

We have partnered with our client in their search for an experienced SAP FI Lead Consultant to join a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme for a Financial Services client in Germany. The consultant will lead the Finance workstream, driving solution design, business process transformation, and delivery of S/4HANA Finance capabilities.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of SAP Finance consulting experience
• Extensive expertise in SAP FI and strong understanding of related CO processes
• Proven experience leading Finance workstreams on SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation programmes
• Strong hands‑on configuration and solution design experience
• Experience in the Financial Services industry (banking, insurance, asset management, or similar) preferred
• Fluent German and English
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
• Experience working in international project environments

Preferred

• Based in or near Munich
• Experience with S/4HANA Finance and Universal Journal
• Knowledge of Financial Services regulatory and reporting requirements
• SAP Activate and Agile delivery experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the SAP Finance workstream throughout the S/4HANA transformation
• Facilitate requirements gathering and solution design workshops
• Design and configure SAP FI solutions aligned with business requirements
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project management, and technical teams
• Support integration activities across SAP and non-SAP systems
• Oversee testing, data migration, training, and go-live preparation
• Provide functional leadership and guidance to the wider Finance team
