SAP FI/CO Consultant – S/4HANA RISE Migration (Freelance)

• Location: Germany - hybrid (mostly remote, on-site for testing and go-live)
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months
• Workload: 4-5 days/week
• Languages: German and English (fluent)

The project

A manufacturing group is moving its German entity off a locally hosted SAP system and onto the group’s global SAP S/4HANA RISE platform. Go-live is planned for 1 March. The core finance processes are already stable, so this is mainly a like-for-like transition with a focus on German localisation.

Responsibilities

• Configure FI/CO for the German entity in the group RISE system, including a one-profit-centre setup and the cost centre structure
• Set up German statutory and government reporting so that reports are produced automatically
• Migrate data: open items for AR and AP, bank balances, and G/L balances
• Run testing on-site with business users
• Work on-site during cutover (about 1 week before go-live), go-live, and hypercare (3–4 weeks after)
• Act as the link between German stakeholders and the international (LATAM) group team

Requirements

• Strong SAP FI/CO background, covering GL, AR, AP, AA, and controlling
• Experience with S/4HANA migration or rollout
• Knowledge of German statutory reporting and localisation
• Fluent German and English; Spanish highly desirable
• Able to travel on-site in Germany when needed
