Ref: #74622SAP MDG Consultant – S/4HANA TransformationLocation: Remote, Germany Travel: Occasional travel to customer sites in Germany Project: SAP S/4HANA Transformation Industry: Manufacturing Contract: Until the end of the yearAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Consultant to join a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme for a leading German manufacturing customer.You will play a key role in the design, implementation, and optimisation of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) processes, working closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and SAP technical teams to establish robust and scalable master data processes as part of the S/4HANA transformation.The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to customer locations within Germany required for workshops, project meetings, and key delivery milestones.Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and implement SAP MDG solutions as part of an SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.
Work closely with functional teams across areas such as Material, Business Partner/Customer, Supplier and Finance master data. Produce functional specifications and work with technical teams on development and integration requirements.
Work within an international project environment, coordinating with teams across Germany and potentially other European locations. Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective SAP MDG solutions. Configure MDG processes, including data models, workflows, validations, derivations, and governance processes.
Support the integration of SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA and surrounding systems. Support data migration, data cleansing, harmonisation, and master data quality initiatives. Define and implement appropriate data validation, enrichment, approval, and workflow processes. Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and deployment.
Participate in workshops with business stakeholders and key users. Support cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities. Contribute to SAP MDG best practices, governance standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Experience Strong hands-on experience with SAP MDG.
Proven experience working on SAP S/4HANA transformation or implementation projects. Strong understanding of master data governance, data quality, data harmonisation, and master data processes.
Experience with one or more SAP MDG domains, particularly: Business Partner / Customer Supplier Material Finance Experience with MDG data models, workflows, validations, derivations, and replication. Understanding of integration between SAP MDG and SAP S/4HANA.
Experience working with business stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into SAP solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in structured SAP project environments, ideally within large-scale manufacturing organisations.
