Security Incident Manager - ICT Risk Department

Our client is seeking an experienced Security Incident Manager to join their ICT Risk Department. In this strategic role, you will lead responses to major cyber incidents and help enhance the organisation’s overall security posture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end response to major security incidents (detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned).
• Act as the central point of contact for incident escalation, ensuring effective communication between technical teams, management, and external stakeholders.
• Perform in-depth technical analysis of security events, leveraging SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence tools.
• Support forensic investigations, root cause analyses, and vulnerability assessments.
• Develop and refine incident response playbooks, processes, and KPIs in alignment with ICT risk governance.
• Contribute to security awareness by conducting post-incident reviews and sharing best practices with the wider organization.
• Collaborate closely with risk management, compliance, and IT infrastructure teams to improve overall resilience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of hands-on experience in cyber security operations, incident response, or SOC/CSIRT functions.
• Deep technical knowledge of networks, operating systems, malware analysis, and modern attack techniques (e.g., APTs, ransomware).
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, BAIT, DORA) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German proficiency highly valued.
• Ability to thrive in a complex, international enterprise environment.
