Tasks
- Technical ownership of development, production deployment and continuous improvement of advanced analytics, data science and AI solutions, from initial concept through to operational implementation
- Develop high-quality, maintainable and production-ready code for analytics and machine learning solutions, applying fundamental software engineering principles such as modular design, automated testing, code reviews and technical documentation
- Implement analytics and machine learning models, including deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management concepts in cloud environments, such as CI/CD, model versioning and performance monitoring
- Collaborate closely with Data Science, Data Engineering, Platform, and Data Strategy & Management teams to integrate analytics solutions into existing system and operational landscapes
- Evaluate and advance modern analytics, data science, AI and MLOps solutions, while actively promoting the use of AI in data science use case
Qualification
- University degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, industrial engineering or comparable
- At least five years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, AI Specialist or comparable, with clear focus on developing, deploying and operating analytics solutions in a corporate or consulting environment
- Very good understanding of modern analytics and AI methods as well as the underlying system architectures, particularly regarding model serving, data and system dependencies, scalability, performance and sustainable operating models
- Strong hands-on experience in deploying and operating analytics and machine learning solutions, particularly using cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipelines, MLOps approaches, monitoring and versioning
- Excellent Python skills and good experience in developing production-ready, maintainable and tested code, including modular software architecture, version control, automated testing, code reviews and technical documentation
- A high degree of technical autonomy, a structured way of working and experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, combined with excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English and the motivation to actively advance Data Analytics and AI at TÜV SÜD
