We are seeking experienced Senior DevOps/Platform Engineers to join our client's Platform Operations & Engineering Team, implementing modernization initiatives for store Point of Sale (POS) systems across edge locations.
Responsibilities
• Execute infrastructure enhancements across edge locations using Oracle Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s/K3s), Helm, Kustomize, and Ansible
• Deploy and maintain containerized applications in distributed edge computing environments
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices and ensure high availability of POS systems
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD
• Implement automated testing, security scanning, and deployment processes
• Manage GitOps workflows and optimize deployment efficiency
• Deploy and configure FluentBit, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana
• Implement comprehensive logging, metrics collection, and distributed tracing
• Create dashboards, alerts, and support incident response activities
• Develop platform tools, scripts, and automation to support development teams
• Work with Systems Architect to translate designs into working solutions
• Collaborate with development teams and participate in agile ceremonies
Requirements
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Linux administration (Oracle Linux preferred), Docker, and Kubernetes
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and GitOps practices
• Hands‑on experience with observability tools: FluentBit, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana
• Proficiency with Ansible, Helm, Kustomize, and infrastructure as code
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python with automation experience
• Understanding of edge computing and distributed infrastructure challenges
• Experience with monitoring strategies for distributed systems
• Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps environments, secrets management, and secure configuration practices
• Retail/POS environment experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of networking, load balancing, and service mesh technologies
• Understanding of high‑availability and disaster recovery principles
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and mentoring abilities within cross‑functional agile teams
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
