Polygon One is a spin-off from TH Köln based in Düsseldorf. We build an AI-powered platform that companies use to implement EU supply chain regulation: from satellite-based deforestation analysis and automated filing of due diligence statements (EUDR) to packaging compliance (PPWR). Our own analysis model is significantly more precise than freely available alternatives, especially on complex plots such as agroforestry systems. We are EXIST-funded, part of the Ignition Accelerator at Digihub Düsseldorf, and work with international audit firms and law firms. Our clients are importers and manufacturers from the European Mittelstand and industry. The first PPWR obligations take effect in August 2026, and the EUDR applies from the end of December 2026. The market is emerging right now, and we're building the team for it.

What you'll do

• You develop our SaaS platform together with our lead developer
• You build features end to end: from geodata capture and map rendering to analysis dashboards and interfaces such as the EU TRACES API
• You help make architecture and technology decisions, in a small team with short paths
• You look after code quality, testing and stable operations
• Over time you take on technical leadership as the team grows

What you bring

• Several years of experience building production web applications, front end and back end
• Confident with TypeScript/React, Python, PostgreSQL and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with API integrations and data-intensive applications
• A plus, not a must: exposure to GIS, geodata, remote sensing or ML systems
• An independent way of working and a product mindset
• Business-fluent German and English
