Role overview
Join an Infrastructure team that operates the data platform as a product, with a focus on reliability, performance, and end-to-end ownership. You will lead technical decisions, shape the operating model, and partner closely with product teams and vendors to keep the platform healthy, cost-efficient, and aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code for the data platform, including Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, and change management practices.
• Own platform operations, governance, and lifecycle for Snowflake and Databricks, including workspace and account design.
• Drive cost management and partner with FinOps teams on forecasting, chargeback, and optimization across both platforms.
• Implement observability and operational readiness through monitoring, alerts, dashboards, runbooks, and on-call practices.
• Coordinate with product teams and vendors to track vendor roadmaps and align platform capabilities with product requirements.
Requirements
• Significant hands‑on experience managing Databricks infrastructure at scale in production environments.
• Demonstrated track record delivering reliability and observability for high‑scale SaaS platforms, including SLOs, alerting, and incident response.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering and platform automation work.
• Strong background in infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and modern change management workflows.

• Familiarity with security and governance best practices across both platforms.
• Delta Lake and lakehouse expertise, including table formats, CDC, compaction, and storage layout optimization for interoperability.
