Are you in?Your RoleKey responsibilities in your new roleDesign and implement robust embedded software (C/Bare Metal) for motor control systems, adhering to safety standards (ISO 26262 ASIL B) and coding guidelines (e.g., MISRA C)Derive and document software requirements and test specifications from system-level requirements, ensuring full traceability within the V-Model processModel and design software architecture using UML (e.g., PlantUML), defining component interfaces, state machines, and sequence diagramsSet up and maintain development environments (IDE, Build Systems) and automated test setups, including Unit Testing frameworks to ensure high code quality and coverageConduct software integration testing and debugging on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or motor test bench setups, including simulating motor control effects and resolving complex mechatronic issuesCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Hardware, System Engineering, Validation) to troubleshoot interdisciplinary problems and optimize system performanceYour ProfileQualifications and skills to help you succeedUniversity degree in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable fieldMinimum 6 years of hands-on embedded software design and development, with at least 2–3 years in automotive or safety-critical domainsExpert-level C programming for bare-metal development; Python skills for test automation are highly preferredHardware & Debugging: Comfortable working with microcontrollers, sensors, and lab equipment; proficient with debugging/tracing tools (e.g., Lauterbach TRACE32, Vector CANoe, or JTAG/SWD)Hands-on experience with two or more embedded communication protocols: CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UARTProven experience with functional safety standards (ISO 26262, ASIL B) and automotive development processes (Automotive SPICE)Understanding of servo motor control concepts is a strong plusExperience with IFX MCU’s (AURIX, PSOC and TLE MOTIX family) is a plusExcellent team player with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesFluent in written and spoken German and English (B2/C1 level).Contact: Carolina Moreira#WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.As a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
