Munich (hybrid) | Early‑stage | Relocation offered
We’re working with an early‑stage company in Munich that’s already doing what most teams spend years trying to prove – building a product that customers genuinely rely on, and scaling it with enterprise clients.
Construction is one of the largest industries in the world – and one of the least modernised.
Processes are fragmented, manual, and often held together by spreadsheets and workarounds.
This company is taking a different approach – building towards full workflow automation across the value chain, using AI to remove entire layers of operational friction.
The opportunity isn’t just to improve workflows, it’s to redefine how they exist in the first place.
Think:
- AI agents replacing manual workflows
- Real cost savings at enterprise scale
- Deep network effects as adoption grows
The opportunity isn’t just to improve workflows, it’s to redefine how they exist in the first place.
The opportunity
This is a founding‑level product engineering role, sitting at the heart of how the product evolves over the next phase of growth.
You won’t be joining a large, structured team with clearly defined lanes.
Instead, you’ll be working closely with founders, product, and customers to:
- Own features end‑to‑end – from idea through to production
- Build and iterate quickly based on real user feedback
- Shape how product engineering is done as the team grows
- Contribute to both technical and product direction
It’s a role for someone who wants to build, not just contribute.
What they’re building
A platform focused on automating complex workflows within the construction industry – starting with procurement and finance, and expanding towards a broader vision of AI‑driven, agent‑led automation.
It’s a huge, under‑digitised space with real inefficiencies and clear ROI for customers.
They’re already live across DACH, with plans to expand further internationally.
Who this is for
You’re likely someone who:
- Has ~3–6 years experience building products in startup or scale‑up environments
- Is comfortable working across the stack (frontend leaning helps)
- Thinks in terms of user problems and product outcomes, not just systems
- Enjoys ownership and making decisions without perfect information
- Has experience shipping into production and being accountable for it
- You’re working with Typescript, Nest.JS and React OR you’re open to switching/have dabbled
German language is important here – engineers are expected to engage directly with customers when needed.
The environment
- Munich‑based, hybrid (3 days/week in office)
- Small, high‑ownership team
- Real pressure on execution – and real opportunity to improve it
Why it’s interesting
There’s a very specific window where a company has:
- Real customers and real traction
- Backing from top‑tier investors
- A clear direction, but still plenty to figure out
This is that window.
The right people joining now won’t just build features – they’ll shape how the company builds, and likely grow into leadership as the team scales.
What you get in return
- Real ownership – not just tickets
- Direct impact on product, customers, and how the team evolves
- Access to cutting‑edge AI tooling and a strong investor ecosystem
- A fast‑moving, low‑bureaucracy environment
- Clear path to grow into leadership as the company scales
- Flexibility that grows with trust and impact
