The Opportunity
We are growing our dev team – along several routes at once. Next to our team, we see our differentiation in technology.
As a fast-growing, private-equity-backed group, we acquire established regional tax advisory and audit firms across Germany and unite them on a central platform — with a shared data and technology strategy, centralized teams of experts, and the goal of developing each local firm into a regional champion We are building two things for that: Neuplaner Vision, the group's second brain – you ask a question in plain language and get an answer grounded in our own documents, mail and meetings, with citations back to the source.
Specific workflows sit on top of it, today at holding level, next inside the firms with their own tenant and their own data. And a tech-enabled talent strategy that makes the capability of several hundred advisors visible and usable across all firms – a new codebase, where you write the first lines.
Stack: Python 3.12 / FastAPI, PostgreSQL 16 with pgvector, React + TypeScript in strict mode, the Claude API called directly (no LangChain), AWS. On the talent codebase: Nest.js, Angular, MongoDB. This is applied AI engineering – we call models, we do not train them.
Roughly 200,000 lines, two live installs, real users, small reviewed pull requests. How you can join: as a working student, on an internship, permanently, or as a contractor – a thesis is a possible entry too. The application form lets you tell us which route you are applying on. No ML background required, no prior tax or M&A knowledge.
