DevOps Engineer

• Contract: 6 months initially, with potential extension

We are currently looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a technology team based in Frankfurt.

This is a hybrid opportunity suited to an experienced DevOps professional who enjoys working across cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD and containerised environments.

You’ll work closely with software engineers, architects and other infrastructure specialists to build, automate and maintain reliable and scalable development and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain cloud and infrastructure environments
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Manage and maintain Docker and Kubernetes environments
• Automate infrastructure and configuration using Infrastructure as Code
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Monitor system performance, availability and reliability
• Implement and maintain logging, monitoring and alerting solutions
• Support development teams with deployment and infrastructure requirements
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and production issues
• Improve security, scalability and resilience across the platform
• Work within Agile/Scrum development teams
• Contribute to DevOps best practices and continuous improvement
• Strong commercial experience working as a DevOps Engineer
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
• Strong experience with Docker
• Commercial experience with Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of CI/CD
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
• Good knowledge of Linux
• Experience with scripting, such as Bash or Python
• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows
• Understanding of networking, security and cloud infrastructure
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience with some of the following would be advantageous:

• Terraform
• Ansible
• Jenkins
• GitHub Actions
• ELK / OpenSearch
• Kafka
• AWS or Azure certifications

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is hands‑on, technically strong and comfortable working in a modern engineering environment.

You’ll be able to work independently, communicate effectively with software engineering teams and take ownership of infrastructure and deployment challenges.

Previous experience in financial services, fintech, banking or other highly regulated environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
