You translate the goals and guidelines set by senior IT management into clear operational priorities and ensure that the assigned departments are aligned. You make operational decisions, manage related work packages, and ensure effective follow-up without getting bogged down in micromanagement. You plan the allocation of capacity and expertise, resolve bottlenecks, and identify additional needs for skills and resources early on. You provide both technical and disciplinary leadership to the assigned department heads and teams and further develop their leadership skills, understanding of their roles, and work methods.

You coordinate collaboration and dependencies between IT departments and involve the relevant contacts and decision-makers when cross-functional issues arise. You ensure reliable service, communication, and escalation processes. In the event of relevant disruptions, you coordinate the resolution, ensure transparent communication, and ensure that insights and improvement measures are implemented sustainably. You will monitor the key performance indicators (KPIs) of the assigned departments, define cross-functional operational KPIs, and agree on specific improvement measures with department heads. Your Expertise You have completed vocational training or a degree in the IT field, or possess a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.

You have at least three years of leadership experience and, during that time, have managed teams of at least three employees in a technical and/or disciplinary capacity. You have several years of experience in IT operations as well as in managing service or support organizations. You are very familiar with IT service processes, ticket-based work organization, resource planning, escalation management, and service communication. Even under time pressure, you can set clear priorities, make well-informed decisions, and communicate them clearly. You identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies early on and address them independently and in a solution-oriented manner. You have solid technical experience and a strong practical understanding of IT architectures, operating models, tools, and typical failure scenarios.

You lead with clarity and authority, help employees and managers grow, and can align different IT departments toward common goals.
