Team Lead: Software Development

In this role, you will take ownership of advancing simulation solutions for a leading intralogistics company specializing in warehouse automation systems. Combining hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, you will help shape the future of the software products while guiding a highly skilled international team of developers.

Your responsibilities

Technical part:

• Drive the development of new functionalities and continuous improvements across simulation software portfolio.
• Lead technical design, architectural decision-making, while also promoting engineering best practices (e.g. clean code, quality standards, automated testing and CI/CD processes).
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA specialists and cross-functional development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Team leadership:

• Lead an internationally distributed team of 10 people with focus on mentoring, coaching, goal-setting and supporting the personal growth of each member.
• Build and maintain a transparent, collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Take an active role in recruitment activities and support the onboarding and integration of new colleagues.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of software architecture, OOP and clean coding practices.
• Experience with modern software delivery methods (e.g. CI/CD pipelines, automated testing).
• Previous leadership experience OR a senior-level technical background with a strong desire to step into a leadership position.
• Fluent communication skills in both German and English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, conflict management and development-focus mindset.
