I'm currently recruiting for an established German engineering company specialising in advanced optical machinery and precision technology.

They're looking for a C++ Software Developer to join their development team, working on software used in complex optical manufacturing systems.

The Role:

• Develop and optimise software using C++.
• Work on complex mathematical algorithms, calculations and data processing.
• Develop software for advanced optical machinery and measurement systems.
• Work closely with engineers, physicists and other software developers.
• Contribute to software development from initial concept through to implementation.

What they're looking for:

• Strong knowledge of C++ (Qt experience beneficial).
• A degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• An interest in mathematical algorithms, numerical methods or scientific computing.
• Experience in image processing, optical systems, simulation or industrial software would be advantageous.

Working arrangement: Predominantly onsite, with one day working from home per week.

This could be particularly interesting for physicists or mathematicians who have moved into software development, as well as experienced C++ engineers who enjoy working on technically challenging products.
