About The Role
Advanced UniByte is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to plan, build, install, and automate the infrastructure required in its data centres in Frankfurt and Munich. In this hands‑on role, you will help translate technical requirements into reliable, operational environments. Your work will span infrastructure preparation, implementation, and ongoing improvement, with a focus on consistency, availability, and efficient operations. You will collaborate with colleagues across relevant technical teams to coordinate changes and deliver infrastructure that supports cloud, storage, and managed service environments. The position is suited to someone who enjoys practical engineering work and takes a structured approach to complex technical tasks.
Qualifications
We welcome candidates with relevant experience or training in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, data centre operations, or a related technical field. You should be comfortable working with infrastructure components and following implementation processes from planning through installation and operational handover. An interest in automation and improving repeatable technical workflows is important, as is the ability to investigate issues methodically and communicate findings clearly. The successful candidate will bring a careful, dependable approach to work in environments where service continuity matters. You should be able to organise tasks, document technical changes, and work constructively with colleagues. Experience with data centre environments, infrastructure automation, cloud or storage technologies, and structured change processes is relevant. Responsibilities
Plan and prepare the IT infrastructure required for Advanced UniByte’s data centres in Frankfurt and Munich, taking account of technical needs and operational requirements. Build and install infrastructure components, ensuring that work is completed carefully and in accordance with applicable procedures. Automate suitable tasks and workflows to improve repeatability, reduce manual effort, and support consistent outcomes. Coordinate implementation activities with colleagues and communicate progress, dependencies, and potential issues. Support the reliable operation and continual improvement of infrastructure environments by identifying opportunities to refine processes and resolve technical challenges. Maintain clear documentation of installations, configurations, changes, and operational handovers so that work can be understood and supported by the wider team.
