- Experience with hardware or software development, measurement technology, ultrasonic testing, signal processing, or nondestructive evaluation is an advantage.
- You are comfortable understanding technical requirements and translating them into structured solutions.
- Familiarity with modular system design, test procedures, or laboratory work would be beneficial.
- You approach engineering challenges analytically, communicate clearly, and take ownership of your work.
- You can collaborate effectively with colleagues from different technical backgrounds and are willing to learn about new materials, methods, and customer applications.
- A careful, quality-focused working style is important, as is the ability to document development work and test results.
- Professional proficiency in English is required for technical communication; German language skills are an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve ultrasonic nondestructive testing systems for demanding industrial and research applications.
- Contribute to modular hardware and software architectures, ensuring that components work together as dependable inspection solutions.
- Analyze customer and application requirements, assess technical feasibility, and help define system concepts that address specific testing needs.
- Develop and integrate electronic, measurement, and software components as appropriate to your expertise.
- Plan and conduct tests, evaluate results, investigate unexpected behavior, and support troubleshooting through to resolution.
- Work with colleagues to validate system performance for different materials and component geometries.
- Prepare technical documentation, record design decisions, and communicate findings clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Support the continuous improvement of development methods and products, and contribute your expertise to projects serving aerospace, research, and other technically demanding sectors.
Benefits
- Join a specialized engineering team working on technologies with a direct role in component quality and safety.
- You will have the opportunity to contribute to development projects from concept through testing and refinement, broaden your expertise in ultrasonic inspection, and work on applications involving complex materials.
- The role offers varied technical challenges, close collaboration with colleagues, and the opportunity to see how your engineering work supports practical inspection requirements.
- Specific employment terms and benefits can be discussed during the recruitment process.
