About The Role
We are seeking a Frontend Engineer (Angular) (m/f/d) to join our team in Berlin on an unlimited, full-time contract. Hybrid working conditions are available. In this role, you will help build the next generation of fintech products and create digital experiences for customers and merchants.
You will work closely with design, product, and backend colleagues in a cross-functional product team. This is an opportunity to contribute to a growing product and technology organisation, help shape the way teams work, and deliver web applications that are useful, reliable, and intuitive. You will also contribute to a company-wide platform for interface design and development, helping establish consistent, reusable foundations for our products.
Qualifications
You bring at least four years of professional frontend development experience, including strong hands-on expertise with Angular and TypeScript. You have built scalable, responsive web applications and reusable user interface components, and understand Angular architecture, component-based development, and reactive programming.
You are comfortable integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and have experience with testing, debugging, and code quality practices. You understand how to improve web performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. You communicate clearly, collaborate well across disciplines, and take ownership of your work while remaining open to feedback and continuous improvement.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot is expected. You apply sound judgement when using these tools and carefully review and test their output. Fluency in English is required; German language skills are an advantage. Applicants must have EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Germany.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain ambitious web applications as part of a cross-functional team working across European locations. Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of a company-wide platform for interface design and frontend development, supporting consistency and reuse across products.
Work with product, design, and backend colleagues to translate requirements into dependable customer and merchant experiences. Participate in regular Scrum ceremonies, share progress, and collaborate on solutions throughout the product lifecycle. Keep up with relevant developments in web technologies and apply them thoughtfully to improve product quality.
Take initiative to strengthen frontend standards and outcomes, including accessibility, performance, consistency, maintainability, and robustness. Help identify issues early, contribute to effective testing and debugging, and support practices that make applications easier to evolve and maintain.
