About The Role
Wuppermann AG is seeking a Senior SAP Developer with Artificial Intelligence (AI) expertise to join its IT and SAP Development team in Leverkusen. This is a full-time position with flexible working hours and an immediate start. You will take technical responsibility for the continued development of the company's SAP application landscape, translating business requirements into reliable, secure, and future-ready solutions.
Working closely with internal departments, IT colleagues, and external partners, you will help shape the company’s digital future. Your focus will include SAP development, process automation, and the practical evaluation and integration of AI into existing business processes. This role is suited to an experienced developer who can combine strong technical judgement with clear communication and a collaborative approach.
Qualifications
- Several years of professional experience in SAP development.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to complex SAP projects and making technical architecture decisions.
- Knowledge of modern SAP technologies, such as ABAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Understanding of current developments in Artificial Intelligence and experience evaluating its practical use in a business environment.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders and colleagues without a technical background.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with a structured approach to solving problems.
- A high degree of initiative, accountability, and enthusiasm for teamwork.
- Very good German and good English language skills.
Responsibilities
- Take technical ownership of the ongoing development and improvement of Wuppermann's SAP application landscape.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance SAP solutions using appropriate modern technologies.
- Develop automation solutions that streamline processes and support operational efficiency.
- Evaluate opportunities to apply AI and integrate suitable capabilities into existing SAP processes.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for internal business departments and external service providers.
- Ensure that solutions meet high standards for quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with internal IT teams and external partners to deliver practical, effective outcomes.
- Help turn business needs and technical possibilities into solutions that can be implemented and used successfully across the organization.
