About The Role

As Senior Data Engineer and Platform Architect for Application Integration, you will take ownership of the exchange of data between business applications and help ensure that integrations are secure, stable and designed for the future. You will analyze, model and implement integration processes using our modern, configurable iPaaS platform. In addition to developing practical solutions, you will guide the platform’s architectural direction and ensure that designs meet business needs as well as established architecture, security and quality standards. You will work closely with integration developers, architects responsible for other platforms, internal business teams, external partners and the platform provider.

Qualifications

You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or a related field, or comparable professional training in information technology. You bring extensive experience developing and architecting data and application integration solutions. You have strong knowledge of API management and web services, including SOAP and REST, and experience with iPaaS platforms such as Boomi, Informatica or MuleSoft. An interest in insurance-related business questions and processes will help you understand and support our internal stakeholders. You are comfortable working with complex process structures and have a structured, analytical approach to evaluating requirements and solution options. You communicate confidently, collaborate effectively and work independently with a strong focus on practical solutions. Fluency in German and professional proficiency in English are required.

A preference for productive, configuration-based low-code approaches is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Own and support the reliable exchange of data across WWK’s IT applications. Analyze business and technical requirements, model integration processes and implement them on the iPaaS platform. Develop and assess solution concepts for application integration, balancing functional needs with architecture, security and quality standards. Take responsibility for the platform’s sustainable, future-ready architecture and contribute to its strategic development. Partner with internal stakeholders from requirements gathering through implementation, testing and successful production deployment. Coordinate closely with iPaaS developers, architects of other systems, external partners and software vendors. Maintain clear, accurate documentation of the integration platform and help ensure the stability of the application integration landscape.

Monitor developments in the integration market and maintain an active relationship with the platform provider to identify opportunities for improvement.
