Junior Software Developer, Integrations

We've started an integration project for a manufacturer with plants in Germany, and more like it will follow.

You'll build and test the connections that move orders, master data and status updates between business applications, and decide with us what happens when a transfer fails. Full-time, from home anywhere in Germany; the team in Chicago is seven hours behind.

Five things you'll do

• Write integration code and scripts that call REST APIs and move data between systems
• Map fields between source and target systems and document the rules
• Handle duplicates, updates and failed transfers, and log what happened
• Write automated tests and reconcile samples of transferred records
• Prepare runbooks so client teams can operate the connection

Four things we need

• A degree in computer science or similar, or training as Fachinformatiker Anwendungsentwicklung
• Python, Java, C# or JavaScript, from university, an internship or work
• Basic SQL
• REST APIs and JSON
• Also helps: Git and GitHub Actions or GitLab CI; MuleSoft, Boomi or Azure Logic Apps.
