Job title – Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

Client Location – Remote (Europe)

Contract Length – 6 months

Contract type – Freelance

Joining an established, cross-functional engineering team responsible for developing and scaling modern digital products and technology platforms. You’ll work across both backend and frontend development, designing and delivering scalable applications and services.

You’ll contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, taking ownership of technical solutions from initial design through to deployment and ongoing improvement.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial Java experience (ideally Java 17+) and Spring Boot.
• Strong commercial React and TypeScript experience, including hooks, functional components and state management (Redux Toolkit, Context API or Zustand).
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience across both backend and frontend development.
• Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems, with strong RESTful API design skills.
• Good understanding of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimisation.
• Experience with event driven or asynchronous architectures
• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design principles, including bounded contexts, aggregates and domain events.
• Experience with backend and frontend testing frameworks.

Desirable experience:

• Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments, ideally AWS.
• Observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog.
• OpenAPI/Swagger and contract testing.
• React Native.
